There are so many things out in the world that need a better solution. With the help of technology, our lives can be made much easier.

Mind mapping is always a great way for me to brainstorm ideas and visually organize information. Through this process, I was able to identify three problems that interest me most and choose one to develop for this project.

People Lack First-Aid Knowledge

Over 150,000 people a year could be dying unnecessarily because first aid is not widely enough known and well performed. In an emergency, it only takes 6 minutes for the human brain to expire due to the lack of oxygen. However, a 2018 research shows that only 5% of adults have the skills and confidence to provide first aid.

Lefties Face Problems in the Righty World

If you're left-hand dominant, there are certain struggles you know to be true—like when the side of your hand smears your own writing. From scissors and desks to ring binders and ice-cream scoopers, everything seems to be designed with the righties in mind, which isn't surprising given the fact that only 10% of the world population is left-handed. 

People Fail to Seek Help for Their OCDs

Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) affects approximately 2.2 million adults in the US each year, which adds up to 1.0% of the US population. Although there are many effective treatments available for OCD, research suggests that only about one-third of people actually seek help for their OCDs.
